Mobile Application
"Mobile applications often contain hardcoded secrets, insecure local storage, and weak certificate validation that create attack paths invisible to server-side testing alone."
- OWASP Mobile Security Testing Guide
Source code access required.
Mobile applications present an attack surface spanning the client device, network communications, and backend APIs. Our mobile penetration tests start in your application source and compiled binaries, so we know how the app stores data, talks to its backend, and trusts the platform before we start attacking it.
An operator reviews the codebase for insecure data storage, hardcoded credentials, weak cryptography, and improper platform API usage, then builds the tooling needed to exploit what they find on real devices: runtime manipulation, network interception, and binary patching. Client-side weaknesses are chained with the backend API to show what an attacker on the device, or on the network, could actually reach.
We test both iOS and Android applications against the OWASP Mobile Application Security Verification Standard (MASVS), covering data storage, cryptography, authentication, network communication, platform interaction, code quality, and resilience.
Your source code is transferred via encrypted channels, stored securely for the duration of the engagement, and permanently deleted on completion. Your code is never used to train AI models. A deletion certificate is provided.
